#3 LFR in 2024: Innovation Showcase, New Partnerships and Application for State Coordinators
Your success is our story!
Hii, I am Rohit Sharma, founder of LawFirmReady. You may not be expecting my new year message in the month of February but regardless I wanted to leave you a personal note for 2025.
For the last few days, I have been planning to write the third part of our newsletter. Usually we provide LFR updates regarding what we have been upto as part of the newsletter. However, this newsletter will start with something we understood last year, the power of taking pause and resting well.
We were very proactive the entire year of 2024, but we have promised ourselves that the year end should now begin with full of stillness and breaks and to encourage switching off from the noise outside. We will keep on expanding but will keep our community at the center which we have cultivated with love, faith and kindness.
So before I tell you what we did in end of 2024 and the late beginning of 2025 here is a personal note from the LFR team to all of you at the year end:
Rest well and be kind to yourself. You did great last year because you took an extra effort for yourself, your career (that’s why you are reading this newsletter) and we assure you that even 1% addition from experience, skill and new experiments to your trajectory will be considered as success.
Now I will take you to our News bulletin as your love and support took LFR to new heights!
1. Here are a few things LFR did in 2024:
A. LFR came outside of digital screen and conducted three physical events:
Our founder, Rohit Sharma shared his insights on CV and cover letter (and the mandatory Rangoli competition example) to students of Vinayaka Mission Law School, Chennai; Presidency University, Bangalore and UP State Institute of Forensic Sciences (UPSIFS), Lucknow.

CV and Cover letter sessions have, thanks to the support of so many universities, its amazing faculty and ambitious students, become a usual. But both these offline sessions were filled with energy, humour and interactions that left us feeling really joyful.
B. Our Social media team is killing it!
Our social media team led by Himani and Safah now has two pillars of support, Upasana and Sneha.
It isn’t flattery if I point out the fact that our Instagram page looks more colourful and fun now, is it?
Our very creative team is constantly working on our banger social media page, trying to make it exciting and informative all at the same time (and boy, they are seriously gifted with it!).
So keep an eye out for the LFR pages (and don’t be stingy with the interactions, they deserve all the praise).
2. Batch 15 about to begin!
The applications to LawFirmReady’s Flagship Mentorship Program were launched and we closed with 200+ applications!
With 6 sessions over the period of 4 weeks, and one-on-one mentorship from a lawyer who has already succeeded in achieving the dream, we are excited for students to join the community of 400+ mentees from 110+ universities.
What changed in Batch 15?
On top of the usual written application and LFR interaction, we added a new element to ensure that students are passionate about the program and the mentors have a good time guiding them!
This time we are experimenting with sessions around research and guess WHATT! We have partnered with Manupatra for an exclusive session for our mentees who will ALSO GET MANUPATRA’s 5 days ACCESS FOR FREE!
Here’s a list of all the organisations we partnered with this time:
Manupatra
Bar and Bench
Deadly Law
National Law Scholars Program
IDIA
Legal Specs
With over 200 candidates interested in batch 15 from over 90+ law schools, we have shortlisted 60 for the mentorship programme and we will be beginning our batch 15 soon!
3. Looking for state coordinators - be a part of the first cohort, a trendsetter!
The LawFirmReady team is expanding and its outreach wing is now strong with our amazing zonal coordinators joining us.
We are now looking for state coordinators who will
Organise collaborations of LFR with their state’s law schools
Work with LFR’s outreach wing
And we are so excited to plan a few fun, special sessions for our coordinators.

4. Kashmir invited us!
The last time we met, we had just started our LawFirmReady Outreach Program with the School of Excellence in Law, Tamil Nadu.
For build-up purposes, let’s consider it Kanyakumari.
And now, we have covered Kashmir as well!
Our collaboration with “Our Kashmir Foundation” helped us guide students from renowned law schools like the University of Kashmir, Kashmir Law College (Nowshera), KCEF Law College, Law College (Sopore), and Vitasa Law College attended the online workshop on “CV and Cover Letter Drafting”.
Our flagship “CV and Cover Letter Drafting” session (with Rohit bhaiya’s Rangoli competition example) was also organised in Royal Global University, Guwahati; Presidency University, Bangalore, Vinayaka Mission's Law School, Chennai and one in close collaboration with the Amikus Qriae.
We have freed up a few slots for our dear LFR Newsletter fans.
If you want to organise a free session on “CV and Cover Letter Drafting”, fill: https://forms.gle/EsfP4feJQfJUfREF6
5. Safah joins our team!
Safah Mohammad, a 4th year law student at S.D.M. Law College, Mangalore, Karnataka, a batch topper and an incredibly creative and passionate person has joined our team!
She finds the adrenaline rush of writing a test even more exhilarating than riding the fastest roller coaster. A member who loves exploring parenting videos or books is also a self proclaimed writer who blushes when called a nerd. She is kind, smart, artist and desi as she enjoys finding frugal (fancier word for kanjoos) ways to live. She proudly claims to have explored Bangalore entirely all by herself and all through Public Transport.
If you see a very interactive post by LFR being proactive on LinkedIn, most likely it will be Safah who will be ensuring the digital outreach of LFR. She is also helping our Reforms in Legal Education programme with a belief that a scholar's job is to educate the masses and not the four walls of a classroom. In her free time she mentors juniors in her college, and is now going to be the responsible force behind LFR exploratory learning pedagogies.
6. LFR as member of Innovation Showcase at Agami:
The LFR team had so much fun being a member of Agami’s Innovation Showcase. We talked to cool people (and let ourselves be flattered with their compliments), told them our stories, listened to theirs and it was an event we would never forget!
Shoutout to Himani, who spent more time designing everything for the mela than I do on projects!

8. What next for the Bucketlist
As a law student, the new year time leaves me a little vulnerable.
I feel bahut kuch karna hai par saal nikal gaya, and even worse baaki sab party kar rahe hai.
But this is also a reminder to take a pause, take deep breaths, and a break. Remind yourself that everyone has their own unique journey.
Jan was overwhelming and I’m planning on making Feb kinder to me.
So to break your rut in 2025, here’s a bucket list for you prepared by our Law School Ready Coordinator Snehaa:
Read a book, any book!
Make a playlist out of every 10th song you have liked on your Spotify and listen to it as you walk somewhere near trees
Play a board game with your friends (Cards are also game!) (You get the pun? You like the pun? You have a pun yourself? Send us, you future “Mentees got latent” candidate!)
Watch a movie in a language you don’t understand (You can use subtitles, we’re kind that way but dubbed movies are not allowed!)
Enjoy a game of “Name, place, animal, things” to check if you still got it. (You can add a few new columns: movies, legal terminology, and whatnot!)
Listen to our now favourite podcast “Awaaz Pahal Ki”, organised by the Awaaz Leadership Labs with our founder, Rohit Sharma: Rohit Sharma's Awaaz | Podcast by Awaaz Pahal Ki.
Stay Tuned!
Stay connected with us for more updates, internship and fellowship opportunities, insights from our mentors, and valuable resources curated for your success. We are committed to supporting you in your legal journey, and we look forward to bringing you more exciting news in the coming editions!
With love and support, Team LFR
