What is LFR ?
Law Firm Ready (“LFR”), an initiative started in 2021, aims to reform the Indian Legal Education system through different pedagogies, law school capacity building, and building new generation leaders in law school.
Our long-term goal is to bridge the gap between developed and less developed law schools, building better social engineers for tomorrow, provide them different career opportunities while also bridging the gap between citizens and quality lawyers in all parts of the country.
About Founder and Speaker for the Session
Rohit Sharma is an alumnus of NUJS Kolkata and a Former Associate of Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas. Additionally, he was Chief Coordinator for first ever Online Lokadalats in Delhi and Rajasthan with SAMA, an Online ODR Platform. He has also managed Domestic Violence project with World Bank, Madhya Pradesh Police and SAMA where he was responsible for training police officials, DLSA members, judges and mediators.
Mr. Sharma is also a researcher at Lakshmi Mittal South Asian Institute, Harvard University, where he researches on ‘History of Punishment in India’.
Over his career, he has mentored over 2500 law students across various domains, including law entrance exam preparation, college navigation, Online Dispute Resolution, and career counselling.
